Your first time to Pilates?
Doing Pilates for the first time can be quite confusing. There is quite a bit to learn on how your body works and how to breath correctly and which exercise is more suited to you. I would recommend a one2one or small group class to begin with so I can offer you more attention making sure everything is being done correctly and safely.
This way I can guide you through each exercise. You will learn step by step which will be less confusing. Everyday life has an habit of giving us bad posture, pilates will balance the body and prevent injury.
For example;
Golf, tennis, gardening, housework, crossing leg over,
sitting at a desk & looking at a computer, slouching in a chair, lying on side in bed,
general leaning or doing more on one side than the other.

If you have a diagnosed condition and have been advised excercise I can go through what exercise you should or should not be doing.
PIlates is a great compliment to put into your normal routine of impact classes. We move in all different ways to keep your body more mobile, flexible to prevent injuries. It will help you to carry on exercising throughout your lifetime.
The hardest part of Pilates is getting the breathing right. I always say just breath normally first, its like learning something new, get one thing right then add the next step. Get your movement right first & just breath normally. If you have everyday things playing on your mind, Pilates is a great way to focus on what you are doing, taking those thoughts away for a while. Thus fantastic for the mind & body.

INTERVALTONE
This is a high or low impact timed basic moves for those who want a workout without the impact or for those who do, with added bonus of legs, bums and tums. So great for all body workout in one class.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hi I am Caroline Ashby, I have been teaching for over 22 years. I have always suffered with my back and teaching pilates has really helped me so I would like to help you. 5 years ago I had an Xray which showed I suffered from scoliosis in my lower back and without Pilates I would not be as mobile and be able to teach. I love teaching and helping people and there wellbeing so that their everyday life is improved, pain free and not in discomfort. I have had lots of clients over the years who have found Pilates really beneficial which makes me happy. I am fully qualified & registered with CIMSPA
i have started using spikey balls which are great for getting blood flow to the muscles and deep tissue massage and balance pods for the small groups and 1-1s

Keep moving class, move it and Tone It is a timed basic movement, power march or run. high or low impact so gives the option not having to jump about if you do not want to. Also has the added benefit of legs, bums and tums for total body workout. Also can be incorporated into chair exercises.

Doing classes online is a great way for men to give Pilates a go or the small group also welcome to the village hall men also suffer with conditions movement is key for anyone
